Value Stream Mapping

This tool enables us, with our customers, to map out a visual analysis of the “real” activities and processes that are actually happening in the current state operation and supply chain. In doing this we track the flow of information and material and are able to identify where there is waste.
The process is then broken down to label every activity that occurs as value add (VA), non-value add (NVA) or necessary non-value add (NNVA) based on our knowledge of the “7 wastes”.
The next stage is to then map out the future state process that eliminates all of the non-value add activities and results in:

- A baseline to plan the implementation against
